It seems a bit contradictory but Farmer's Markets have become a staple in urban living, giving access to healthy, locally grown, fresh foods to many that have never seen a farm. In my neighborhood, we are lucky enough to enjoy the South of the James Farmer's Market brought to us by The Market Umbrella. It's a social gathering, a place to learn and most importantly a place to buy local, natural foods and support local crafters. 'Saturday's Basket' will be page of posts related to what I purchase and how I use the ingredients in my own kitchen. I would love to hear from you on your Farmer's Market finds and how you make them your own!
